On Qingming Festival, the second incident that made our hearts in our mouths turned out well.
General Manager Li, introduced by Mr. He, purchased 1 piece of 6-inch wear-resistant sand pumping flanged rubber hose (12 meters in length) from our company. It was also an urgent order.
The wear-resistant sand pumping steel wire flanged rubber hose was not yet produced and inspected when the Huolala (on-demand delivery truck) arrived at our Titan rubber Hose Factory to pick up the goods.
During our inspection, we found that the worker had made a mistake in the length. The customer ordered a 12-meter tube, but the worker only made a 10-meter one. The customer was in a hurry at the site.
I suggested two solutions to the customer:
- We could urgently produce another 12-meter wear-resistant sand pumping steel wire flanged rubber hose, which would be shipped tomorrow morning. We would cover the waiting fees for the Huolala.
- We happened to have several pieces of the same specification and quality standard, but 4 meters in length. The customer could connect them for use.
This second option would actually lose money for our factory—we would give the customer 2 extra meters for free and also cover the production cost of an extra pair of flanges. However, since the problem was caused by our factory, we temporarily put production costs aside; the top priority was to solve the customer’s urgent on-site problem.
The customer adopted the second solution.
These are two small “close call” incidents during the Qingming holiday. We successfully helped customers solve both problems, and as the “Rubber Hose king” Wang Xueyan, I am quite relieved.
However, what I truly wish for is to ship every batch of large-diameter steel wireflanged rubber hose smoothly without any issues. We need to anticipate and eliminate potential problems before they happen.
This is the fundamental reason why we do not accept extremely urgent orders. A warm reminder from Rubber Hose Queen Wang Xueyan to all bosses: please place your orders in advance, instead of only remembering to order when the site is in urgent need.
For such urgent orders, once problems arise, they are often beyond our control. Although we were lucky to solve these two incidents, when ordering, do not rely on luck. We aim for long-term and stable development.
